If you’ve looked at the “albums” tab on this website, you are probably wondering why a future album cover of mine, a comedic EP called Greasy Belly, depicts a hamster standing on a chicken’s back. You are also probably wondering why it has a revolutionary war painting type of vibe. The only way I can answer this is to say to you, “Why wouldn’t I want a picture of a hamster riding chickenback?” I challenge you to name me one thing you’d rather see scurry across your living room when you wake up at 4 am. In any event, for some reason I started thinking about how insane/hilarious it would be if the next world war involved only animals. This became a brainchild for my next song, which is in the midst of being mixed at this moment. It’s pretty standard really. Paralleling the assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand to start WWI, the first stanza of my song goes like this:

A hamster saddles up his chicken and holds his dagger tight
feels like Paul Revere as he strides into the night
His mission is clear, his whiskers are still
Leaps from the chicken’s back…the king kitten is killed.
